About our program

Arco Iris has a new partnership with Fresh n' Local to provide delicious, healthy, and nutritious lunches for purchase for $4.25 per day. There will be a hot lunch provided on Wednesdays and a variety of cold lunches the rest of the week.

To learn more about FnL you can visit their website at www.fnl.com. You can also take a look at the attached brochure from the vendor.

All lunch orders must be selected and pre-paid for on a monthly basis only. This is different from last year!

Forms with lunch choices will be made available on-line, will be sent home, and emailed. It must be returned on the 15th of each month with payment: check made out to Arco Iris Spanish Immersion School, credit or debit card, or cash – EXACT CHANGE ONLY.

We pre-pay for lunches on a monthly basis, therefore, if a student is absent and misses a lunch, we are unable to credit the student for the days they missed. Payments do not carry over to the following month. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

See below for description of cold and hot lunch ingredients from Fresh n Local.

Packing a lunch?
At Arco Iris, we encourage parents to pack whole, minimally-processed foods in your student’s lunch. The school will not be able to reheat or chill any lunch items.  Flatware and napkins should accompany packed lunches. We are not able to provide these items unless a lunch is purchased for that day.
Orders
Parents can order lunches monthly for their student. After an order has been placed for the month, meals can’t be changed unless it is for a medical/health reason. After parents submit the menu, there is nothing further that we need in order to submit the order.

Lunches submitted after the deadline will not be processed, sorry no exceptions. Please no phone or email lunch orders.

Serving the lunches

Parents are expected to know when the student has a lunch and we only require you to pack a snack for that day. If the child does not remember, or is unsure, our system makes sure that every child that purchased a lunch receives it when they come to school. We have one(1) card per student that orders lunch on that day. Our staff puts the cards out daily of the students that eat lunch. They can be found on the wall next to the serving counter. Each student comes up, grabs the card, and exchanges that card for a lunch. Afterwards, if there are any cards left on the rack, we call out each student’s name several times to make sure they receive their lunch.

Please Note:
  • Please be sure to notify the office if your child has food allergies or sensitivities.
  • Special lunch events may cost more than the daily lunch.
  • Vendor food costs or delivery fees may warrant incremental cost increases
