The Mary Taylor Arco Iris Scholarship: Mary Taylor is one of the founders of Arco Iris Spanish Immersion School and was galvanized into action after the senseless death of George Floyd in 2020. She initiated these scholarships to support students overcoming adversity and obstacles who have good grades, but need financial assistance to pursue their dreams of college. This is in line with our school's mission to offer a rigorous education for students, including those who are historically underserved.  

 

Scholarship Details

• This scholarship grants $1,000 to three graduating Oregon high school seniors who meet the selection criteria. 
• Applicants must have a 3.5 GPA and preference is given to students who have overcome obstacles or have diverse backgrounds.
• Students must show Financial Need (via a FAFSA) and be first generation college students.
• Students who have attended Arco Iris and meet eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply but are not guaranteed a scholarship.

How to Apply

• If you are a high school senior, please view all the Oregon scholarships, including the Mary Taylor Arco Iris Scholarship by visiting  https://oregonstudentaid.gov/scholarships.aspx
• OSAC Scholarships may be applied for between November 1st and March 1st each year.
• Be eligible to win the $500 OSAC Early Bird Scholarship by submitting your application by February 15th each year.
