Classroom and All School Awards:

The class with the most participating students for the previous month will be awarded the Golden “Stack of Books” Trophy for the month. The trophy will be passed along at the all school assemblies each month.

The class with the highest average minutes read in Spanish for the previous month will be awarded the Los Jaguares Lectores Official Hat for the month. The trophy will be passed along at the all school assemblies each month.

When Arco Iris records more than 500,000 total minutes, students will be invited to dress as a book character on an all school “Book Character Dress-up Day.”

• 1st Calendar – Bookmark – Turn in your first calendar and receive a bookmark
• 1,500 minutes – Smencil – Your favorite scent as a pencil
• 3,000 minutes – Button – Show off your reading hours with a backpack button!
• 4,500 minutes – Magnet – Take home and show everyone that you are a super reader
• 6,000 minutes – Storytime with the Principal – Enjoy a cup of cocoa or cider while Principal reads her favorite story
• 7,500 minutes – Smen – Not just any pen, a Smen

• 12,000 Water Bottle – An exclusive Los Jaguares Lectores water bottle

• 15,000 Free Ice Cream – A free paleta or scoop at a local restaurant

• 21,000 Scarf – A scarf in Arco Iris colors

• 30,000 Free Meal – A free celebratory meal at a local restaurant

• 45,000 Book Bag – An exclusive Los Jaguares Lectores library book bag

• 60,000 Los Jaguares Lectores T-Shirt – A special shirt to wear on spirit day

• 75,000 Eat Lunch with Principal Giambrone

• 90,000 Book Award – Get a free book of your choice

• 105,000 Movie – A free ticket to a local theater

• 120,000 Backpack – An exclusive Los Jaguares embroidered backpack

• 135,000 Reading Hall of Fame – A Los Jaguares Lectores Hall of Fame plaque will hang in the school with your name on it forever
