You can watch every video on our website, scroll our Instagram, and study the stats. None of that tells you what it feels like to stand in a kindergarten classroom at Arco Iris Spanish Immersion School and hear a five-year-old switch between English and Spanish without missing a beat. That part you have to see for yourself!
Start With a Zoom Info Session
If you're just beginning to explore Arco Iris, start with a Zoom session. Our online info sessions run throughout the year, and they give you a low-pressure way to ask questions before you commit to anything. You'll hear directly from our staff about the enrollment process, the academic model, and what a typical school day looks like.
Families who attend these sessions tell us the same thing afterward: they leave with a clearer picture, but they still want to see the building. That's the point. A Zoom session answers your questions. A campus visit answers the ones you didn't know to ask.
Why Photos Don't Capture All the Magic
Our hallways are painted in bright colors. Kids move through them with a kind of ease you notice right away, the ease that comes from feeling safe somewhere. You won't get that from a photo gallery.
Walk into a classroom and you'll see:
- A teacher moves fluidly between English and Spanish depending on which student needs which language at that moment.
- Kids helping each other sound out a word, in whichever language comes easiest.
- Singapore Math worksheets taped to the wall next to student artwork labeled in two languages.
- A reading corner where a first grader reads to a kindergartner, both of them clearly proud of it.
A camera captures the room, but it misses the noise level, the pace, and the warmth of a teacher who knows every kid's name.
The Community You Can Only Feel in Person
Ask any Arco Iris parent what keeps them here, and academics come up, but so does something harder to name. Call it community. Call it kindness. A tour makes it visible: a parent volunteer restocking supplies, a teacher crouching down to a student's eye level, a fifth grader holding the door for a kindergartner without being asked. Those moments add up to something academics alone can't explain, and it's the warmth and connection between people that actually makes Arco Iris thrive.
Book Your Tour!
Walk the campus and see the classrooms your child would actually learn in. Bring your questions. Bring your kids, if you'd like them to see it too. Most families say the tour is what turned "maybe" into "yes."
There's still time to enroll for this school year, but the window narrows as it fills. If you've been meaning to schedule a visit, now is the moment.
Zoom info sessions start in December, and you can sign up here.
Frequently Asked Questions (H2)
Do I need to attend the Zoom info session before booking a tour?
Yes, please sign up for an info session first. Once you complete that, you will receive a link to sign up for a tour. The info session covers enrollment logistics and general questions, which frees up your tour time to focus on the classrooms and the campus itself.
What will I see during a campus tour?
You'll walk through classrooms in session, see Spanish immersion in action, and get a feel for the building and the daily rhythm of the school. Staff are available to answer questions as you go.
Is it too late to enroll this school year?
Not necessarily. Arco Iris accepts students as space allows throughout the year, even mid-year. Contact our office at (503) 372-6052 or reach out through our enrollment page to check current availability for your child's grade.
