My name is maestra Lizirma Falcon and I am a third grade teacher. This is my fourth year at Arco Iris and I am very happy and excited to be teaching third grade again this year. I am from Puerto Rico and I moved to Oregon three years ago with my two daughters and our dog Bella to start working at Arco Iris. I studied Education at the University of Puerto Rico and I have been teaching pre-k to 6th grade for about 8 years.
I love Arco Iris and its students and teaching here has been an incredible learning and working experience.
When I am not teaching at school, I like to spend time with my daughters, hiking, watching movies, visiting my family and friends back in Puerto Rico, exploring places in Oregon and relaxing at home.
I am looking forward for an exciting and fun year in third grade!
Every student is different, so as a teacher, I focus on each student educational needs, weaknesses and strenghts, through classes and assesments to help students achieve their highest potential and be successful at school.
I also like to keep in touch with the parents to let them know about their children progress and ways they can help them succed in their classes.
