November - Basketball
This month we will be focusing on the fundamentals of basketball. We will be working on passing, shooting, and dribbling through various types of drills and exercises. Students will use these skills throughout our basketball unit and apply them during different types of games. Students will also learn different skills associated with Teamwork such as communication and conflict management.
Every day before class we will have a 10-15 minute warm-up. This is a quick way to prepare the body for exercise by loosening up the joints and increasing blood flow to the muscles.
Each class has the chance to earn a choice day at the end of each month through good behavior. This will give students the opportunity to vote as a class on any game of their choosing. Choice day takes place on the last P.E. class day of every month.
